Chris Irving - Rhythm Guitar. I am Brisbane born and raised. I became obsessed with the great American guitar bands of the late fifties like The Ventures, and the British band, The Shadows. The obsession motivated me to teach myself Guitar and Drums (which I played in his first band until 1965). From that time, I have played Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar and finally chose Rhythm guitar as my favourite. I have played in popular dance venues during the sixties and seventies and in various local bands since that time. I also love the fact that I am still able to perform my favourite music to appreciative audiences.

Alf Di Mauro - Bass Guitar. I wanted to play guitar in my very early teenage years,so I went and had lessons to play lead/rhythm guitar. A family friend who was a lead guitarist taught me to read music. Started my first band when I was 15 and still at school and went to play at the high school Year 10 school dance. By the time I reached 21, I decided to switch and play bass guitar and played in a further 3 bands over time. In total played with bands for about 18 years and gave it all away in 1988 without touching or playing a bass until I signed up to Halcyon Community and was told by other musicians here that I will need to play and 36 years later back again and enjoying every moment of it.

Colin Rhys-Jones (RJ) - Lead Singer. I've been performing in front of live audiences since I was 14, and I've never lost the thrill of stepping onto a stage. From clubs and pubs to musical theatre, I've always loved captivating audiences through the energy and emotion of live performance. When I'm not performing with Heartbeat, I enjoy volunteering my time entertaining residents in aged care communities, where music brings back treasured memories, fills the room with smiles and gets everyone singing along. Joining Heartbeat has been an exciting new chapter, and I'm having an absolute ball performing the classic hits of the '50s and '60s with such a fantastic group of musicians. There's nothing better than seeing a packed dance floor, smiling faces and people reliving the soundtrack of their lives. I can't wait to see you at a Heartbeat show!

Col Saunders - Lead Guitar. I was born in Yorkshire UK and began playing guitar at the age of 12 and heavily influenced by Hank Marvin, The Shadows, The Beatles and many other great groups of the 60’s and 70’s. Toured with bands extensively throughout UK and Europe both performing and recording great music of the era. With over 50 years' experience. I am passionate about performing live music that brings back those wonderful memories. Interesting fact: My cousin was Joe Cocker!

Christian Cox - Drummer. I am the most recent addition to the HeartBeat Band. I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer, arranger and spent many years as a session and agency musician during the 90's. I am back on the stage exclusively for HeartBeat. My musical influences include Pink Floyd, Beatles, Led Zeppelin right through to Dave Brubeck and Nat King Cole.
